I am not a big sports fan. I don't go to baseball games during the baseball season - - but I do watch the World Series on television. I don't play tennis -- but I do watch the various Cup Matches. I don't play golf - - but I do follow the various Championships. And I don't play or follow basketball, but I am currently watching the NBA Championships.
So, I would not call myself a true "sports fan," but I do admit to being a "student" of Champions - - I am fascinated by the qualities possessed by Champions - - of various endeavors.
It has become obvious to me that, regardless of the circumstances existing at the time (or the moment), a Champion is never wavering - - a Champion gives his/her "all" - - 110%.
It is a sight of (or form of) beauty to behold. It is certainly something to envy.
When the opportunity presents itself, I also like to watch "champion" lawyers in action. Regardless of the momentum at the moment (good or bad), a "class act" lawyer continues to give their all.
When motion after motion is being denied, and/or objection after objection is being overruled, a "champion" lawyer is never flustered - - they keep driving -- and they do so in a manner that not only does not irritate the Court or the opposition, but in a manner to be respected.
So, I ask myself - - and, perhaps, you should ask yourself - - in tough economic times, what course of action would a "champion" lawyer adopt to make things better (for themselves and others), rather than worse?
